Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump | AODD Pump for Corrosive & Solid-Laden Fluid Transfer
Working Principle
After compressed air enters the air distribution valve of the pump, it alternately drives two diaphragms inside the pump chamber to reciprocate. The volume of the pump chamber on one side of the diaphragm expands and shrinks periodically. When the pump chamber volume increases, negative pressure is formed, the inlet ball valve opens and materials are sucked into the chamber. When the pump chamber volume shrinks, the medium is pressurized, the discharge ball valve opens and materials are pushed out. The two diaphragms alternately complete suction and discharge to realize continuous medium transfer. Powered by air pressure, it can run dry and has strong self-priming capacity. Without an electric motor, it generates no electric spark and is naturally suitable for explosion-proof working conditions.
