Product Information

Designed specifically for deep channels, the Cable-Driven Grab Screen (LZ Three-Cable Bar Screen Cleaner) uses three steel cables to precisely control the lifting and closing of an underwater grab. It delivers immense grabbing force to easily lift branches, stones, and clumps of fabric, while running fully automatically to greatly reduce the safety risks of manual deep-water cleaning. It is an indispensable pre-treatment device for pumping stations and wastewater plant intakes.

Working Principle

Installed above the screen channel, the winch mechanism lowers the steel cables to submerge the grab underwater. When the grab reaches the bottom of the bars, one cable tightens to close the grab and capture the intercepted debris. The winch then hoists the grab to ground level, moves it to the discharge point, and opens it to drop the trash into a collection bin. This design offers strong bag-breaking and grabbing capabilities, making it especially suited for harsh conditions with complex debris.

Application Fields

1.Large flood control pumping stations: retrieving bulky branches and trash in deep water.
2.High-concentration industrial wastewater stations: grabbing tangled wires and woven bags.
3.Underground deep sewage wells: clearing large sediment and floatables at the bottom.
4.Food waste processing plants: separating hard debris like bones and shells.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between this Cable-Driven Grab Screen and a standard rotary bar screen?
A: A rotary screen uses continuously moving rakes to scoop debris, which suits shallower channels and fine suspended solids. A grab screen relies on a suspended grab operated by steel cables. It generates massive grabbing force, making it particularly suitable for deep channels and coarse screens handling bulky items like wood and stones.

Q2: Does the three-cable structure easily tangle?
A: No. The three-cable design features dedicated guide tracks and a synchronized winch mechanism, keeping the cables on a fixed path. It is also equipped with slack-rope and broken-rope protection. If an anomaly occurs, it automatically shuts down to prevent the grab from falling or the cables from tangling.

Q3: Can the equipment run automatically?
A: Yes. It is typically equipped with a PLC automatic control system. Based on the water level difference across the screen or a set timer, it can automatically perform the entire sequence—lowering the grab, grabbing, hoisting, and discharging—eliminating the need for manual work down in the channel.
