Candle Filter | Automatic Stainless Steel Candle Filter
Working Principle
Raw feed liquid is pumped into the sealed filter tank under pressure. Liquid flows from the outer side toward the inner core of candle elements. Solid suspended particles and impurities are trapped on the outer surface of filter candles to form filter cake. Clean filtrate passes through the candle media, converges via internal channels and exits from the filter outlet. As filtration continues, filter cake thickens and the differential pressure rises. Once the pressure hits the preset value, the system stops feeding automatically. Compressed air is introduced for back-blowing to strip filter cake off candle surfaces. The bottom pneumatic unit discharges solid cake automatically. After discharge, filter aid can be re-coated to start the next filtration cycle. The closed operation isolates liquid from air and safeguards material purity.
Application Fields
Food Industry: Precision clarification of fruit wine, grape wine, syrup, plant extracts and fermentation broth. It removes suspended solids and improves liquid clarity and product quality. Pharmaceutical Industry: Closed purification filtration for APIs, herbal extracts and biological preparations, meeting sanitary-grade production standards and preventing cross-contamination. Chemical Industry: Solid-liquid separation of fine chemical liquids, catalyst suspensions, resins, dyes and corrosive media. It recovers valuable solids and purifies mother liquor.
Other Industries: Impurity filtration for coatings, industrial grease and waste oil regeneration, separating solid contaminants and protecting downstream production equipment.
