Cast Iron Filter Press | High Temperature Plate and Frame Filter Press | Slurry Solid Liquid Separation
Working Principle
The cast iron filter press consists of multiple cast iron filter plates arranged in sequence. A hydraulic system compresses the stack of filter plates to form sealed filter chambers between plates. Under pressure, feed slurry flows into each chamber. Liquid passes through filter media while solid particles are trapped to form filter cakes. Filtrate drains out through channels built in filter plates. Once filtration finishes, the hydraulic clamping system releases pressure. Filter plates are pulled apart to discharge filter cakes, completing one filtration cycle. The equipment has strong pressure resistance and reliably handles high-temperature feed materials.
Application Fields
Petrochemical: Solid-liquid separation for crude oil refining residues, high-temperature catalyst slurry, asphalt mother liquor and hot chemical suspensions.
Metallurgy: Dewatering of sinter slurry, blast furnace dust sludge, leaching residues from non-ferrous metal smelting and hot oxidized ore slurry.
Oil & fat: Filtration of animal fat boiling residues, palm oil high-temperature refining sludge and vegetable oil degumming slurry.
Ceramics: Dewatering of ceramic body slurry, glaze slurry and sludge from ceramic polishing wastewater.
