Delta Robot | Automated Vision Sorting System

Delta Robot | Automated Vision Sorting System

Product Information

In 3C electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, assembling micro components demands extremely fast cycle times and micron-level precision. Vision-Guided Pick and Place systems use industrial cameras to capture material dynamics on the conveyor in real-time, guiding the parallel robotic arm to achieve precise positioning and gripping during high-speed movement. This approach breaks through the efficiency bottlenecks of manual operation, easily handling scattered micro parts and providing stable power for high-precision automated production lines.

Key Advantages

Powered by a lightweight High-Speed Delta Robot structure, the system achieves lightning-fast flying vision and picking in 3D space. The built-in Dynamic Conveyor Tracking algorithm allows the arm to precisely catch moving workpieces, achieving true "pick-on-the-fly" capability. The combination of high Precision Placement Accuracy and Micro Component Handling capability effectively reduces efficiency fluctuations and defect rates caused by manual operation, adapting to continuous high-frequency, high-precision working conditions.

Working Principle

As materials move rapidly on the conveyor, the industrial camera above captures continuous images at a very high frame rate. The core of the Vision-Guided Pick and Place algorithm lies in instantly extracting the center coordinates and rotation angle of each part, synchronizing this data with the control system. Subsequently, the lightweight High-Speed Delta Robot responds swiftly. Three servo motors work in unison to drive the end-effector, completing lightning-fast flying vision and picking in 3D space. During movement, the system utilizes Dynamic Conveyor Tracking technology to ensure the arm maintains the same speed as the conveyor, achieving "pick-on-the-fly." Once gripped, relying on extremely high Precision Placement Accuracy, micro components are rapidly placed into designated positions, completing high-frequency continuous operation.

Application Fields

1.3C electronics manufacturing: picking and placing of phone components, connectors, and microchips.
2.Semiconductor packaging: visual positioning and high-precision assembly of micro electronic components.
3.Photovoltaics and new energy: lightweight handling and sorting of small battery cells or electrodes.
4.Precision hardware and medical: high-speed handling and boxing of small precision metal parts and medical consumables.

FAQ

Q1: If the conveyor speed changes, can the equipment still grip accurately?

A: Yes. The built-in Dynamic Conveyor Tracking technology reads encoder data in real-time. Once the belt speed fluctuates, the system recalculates the relative speed within milliseconds, ensuring the arm remains stationary relative to the material at the moment of gripping.

Q2: Will extremely light or fragile parts be blown away or crushed during high-speed picking?

A: No. Powered by the lightweight High-Speed Delta Robot structure, the equipment achieves flexible acceleration and deceleration. Combined with custom vacuum grippers or soft grippers, it not only achieves extremely high Precision Placement Accuracy but also prevents damage to fragile workpieces while maintaining speed.

Q3: Can your system directly interface with our existing production line vision system?

A: Yes. The underlying control of the equipment features standard communication interfaces. Whether integrating our built-in Vision-Guided Pick and Place algorithm or interfacing with your existing industrial cameras and host computer, it easily completes the automation upgrade for Micro Component Handling.
