Inclined Tube Settler | Lamella Clarifier for Wastewater Treatment
Working Principle
It adopts the shallow tank sedimentation theory. A set of inclined honeycomb tubes is installed inside the sedimentation zone. Water flows upward from the bottom of inclined tubes. Solid particles in water settle and stick to the inner wall of inclined tubes. Once particles accumulate to certain weight, they slide down along the tubes into the bottom sludge hopper. Sludge is discharged periodically through sludge pipelines. Clarified clean water rises further and is collected by upper outlet weirs. Inclined tubes shorten particle settling distance and multiply the effective settling area within the same footprint. Compared with conventional horizontal flow sedimentation tanks, it features faster settling speed and smaller floor space.
Application Fields
Municipal wastewater treatment: Solid-liquid separation after biochemical treatment to reduce effluent suspended solids
Industrial wastewater treatment: Pretreatment for printing & dyeing, chemical, electroplating and food wastewater
