Sludge dewatering machine

Product Information

  • Name : Sludge dewatering machine
  • SKU : BLT-153
  • Category : sludge-dewatering-machines

Sludge dewatering machine is a specialized equipment for solid-liquid separation at the tail end of wastewater treatment. It is used for squeezing and dewatering biochemical residual sludge and concentrated slurry, significantly reducing the moisture content of sludge, decreasing its volume, and facilitating subsequent transportation, landfill, and resource disposal. The mainstream types include screw press, belt press, and centrifuge, all featuring high automation levels, capable of 24-hour continuous feeding operation, and fully automatic when paired with a flocculant dosing system.

Sludge dewatering machine

Working Principle After thorough mixing and reaction with flocculants, sludge forms flocs and is fed into the main dewatering unit. In the screw press type, multiple sets of stacked spiral shafts push and compress the sludge, with free water discharged through gaps between the rings, while solid sludge is progressively compressed and extruded into dry mud cakes. In the belt press type, the sludge is sandwiched between upper and lower filter belts and dewatered through multiple rollers under gravity and pressure. In the centrifuge type, high-speed rotation generates centrifugal force, separating mud and water based on density differences, with liquid discharged and solid sludge conveyed out by a screw. Application Fields 1. Municipal wastewater: Reduction and dewatering of excess biochemical sludge from urban wastewater treatment plants. 2. Industrial wastewater: Drying treatment of production sludge from papermaking, printing and dyeing, chemical, and electroplating industries. 3. Engineering slurry: On-site dewatering and solidification of pile foundation slurry and foundation pit sludge. 4. Livestock and poultry waste: Solid-liquid separation of livestock and poultry manure, reducing the volume of waste residue. 5. River dredging: Dewatering and pressing of river sludge and black-odorous sediment for easy transport and treatment.
