Filter press

Filter press

Product Information

  • Name : Filter press
  • SKU : BLT-156
  • Category : filter-presses

The filter press is a terminal dewatering device for solid-liquid separation. It relies on multiple filter plates to press the filter cloth, forming a sealed filter chamber. Sludge and turbid materials are fed into the chamber under high-pressure pump pressure. The liquid passes through the filter cloth and flows out, while solids are retained between the filter plates to form dry filter cakes, achieving thorough separation of mud and water. It is widely used in sludge dewatering in wastewater treatment, chemical slurries, and drying treatment of materials such as mineral processing tailings. The filter cake has low moisture content and a significant reduction effect.

Working Principle The hydraulic system pushes the pressing plate to tightly compress all filter plates, forming sealed filter chambers between adjacent plates. The feed pump injects the sludge mixture into each filter chamber under high pressure. Under the pressure, the liquid passes through the filter cloth and is discharged through the drainage holes of the filter plates, while solid particles are intercepted and retained by the filter cloth. After the feeding and pressure-holding process is completed, the hydraulic system releases the filter plates, which are then sequentially pulled apart. The filter cake falls off by its own weight and is collected, completing a single filtration cycle. Application Fields 1. Sewage Sludge: Dewatering and drying of biochemical sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plants and industrial wastewater treatment stations. 2. Mining and Mineral Processing: Filtration of mine tailings and coal washing slurry, reducing solid waste volume for storage and transportation. 3. Chemical Industry: Solid-liquid separation of chemical slurries, pigment waste residues, and electroplating sludge. 4. Construction and Infrastructure: Dewatering and solidification of piling mud and foundation pit sludge. 5. Food Processing: Filtration and dewatering of starch residues, fruit and vegetable residues, and brewing waste residues.
