Product Information

  • Name : rescue air cushion
  • SKU : BLT-46
  • Category : air-cushions

Rescue air cushions are specialized inflatable buffer equipment for high-altitude emergency rescue by fire departments. The main body is made of flame-retardant, wear-resistant, and high-strength coated fabric, which can be folded and stored, and quickly deployed with a high-power inflatable fan. They are mainly divided into two types: fan continuous inflation type and gas cylinder one-time inflation column type. The overall structure is a double-layer multi-chamber design, with the upper layer providing low-pressure cushioning and the lower layer offering high-pressure support for shaping. Commonly carried along in emergency rescue vehicles, they are used to catch individuals falling from heights when ladder trucks cannot be set up or close rescue is impossible, significantly reducing the risk of severe injury or death from ground impact. They are a critical life-saving device for sudden dangers in high-rise buildings.

Working Principle For the fan-type model, an external fan continuously supplies air into the cushion during rescue operations, while a preset pressure relief vent maintains constant internal air pressure. When a person falls onto the cushion surface, the multi-layer sealed air chambers are compressed and deformed, and excess air is orderly expelled through the pressure relief vent. This gradually absorbs the immense kinetic energy generated by the fall, converting hard impacts into soft cushioning, evenly distributing the force on the body, and preventing direct collision with the hard ground. For the cylinder-type model, a high-pressure gas cylinder rapidly inflates the internal air columns to form the structure, and cushioning and energy absorption are achieved through airbag compression and pressure release. Both models prevent rebound or slippage after landing, as well as cushion tipping or collapse. Application Fields 1. High-rise building rescue: When people in high-rise residential buildings or office buildings are trapped by fire near windows and cannot evacuate, the cushion is laid on the ground as an emergency landing protection for escape. 2. Suicide intervention rescue: For individuals threatening to jump from rooftops or windowsills, the cushion is placed below as a safety net to prevent accidental fall injuries or fatalities. 3. High-altitude construction protection: Emergency protection for workers accidentally falling from scaffolding or tower cranes during exterior wall operations on construction sites. 4. Rescue in confined spaces: Emergency lifesaving for high-altitude hazards in narrow alleys, courtyards, or low-rise buildings where ladder trucks cannot access.
