Fire pump

Product Information

  • Name : Fire pump
  • SKU : BLT-47
  • Category : fire-pumps

Fire pumps are the core pressurized water delivery equipment in fire water supply systems. They are mainly classified into vertical single-stage fire pumps, horizontal fire pumps, mobile diesel engine fire pumps, sprinkler pumps, and hydrant pumps. Most adopt cast iron or stainless steel pump body structures, driven by electric motors or diesel power. They are commonly installed in building basement pump rooms, fire trucks, and outdoor pump stations. These pumps can draw water from pools, tanks, or municipal pipe networks, pressurize it, and deliver it to pipe networks, hydrants, sprinkler heads, and fire trucks, providing a stable high-pressure water source for firefighting. They are essential facilities for fire water supply systems in high-rise buildings, factories, shopping malls, and industrial parks.

Fire pump

Working Principle The motor or diesel engine drives the pump shaft to rotate the impeller at high speed. The impeller agitates the water, generating centrifugal force that creates negative pressure inside the pump chamber. Under atmospheric pressure, water is drawn in through the inlet; after being pressurized by the impeller, it is discharged at high pressure from the outlet, thereby increasing pipeline water pressure and flow rate to meet long-distance and high-rise water supply demands. The control cabinet enables automatic start/stop, pressure stabilization and water replenishment, as well as pressure-linked startup. When the pipeline pressure drops below the set value, the pump automatically starts to boost pressure. Application Fields 1. Building and Construction: Constant pressure water supply for fire hydrants and automatic sprinkler systems in high-rise residential buildings, office buildings, shopping malls, and hotels. 2. Industrial Facilities: Continuous water supply for fire protection networks in factory warehouses, chemical industrial parks, and substations. 3. Municipal Fire Protection: Booster pump stations for urban fire protection networks and water intake pressurization from fire water tanks. 4. Mobile Emergency Response: Vehicle-mounted fire pumps and portable hand-carry pumps used for temporary water extraction and firefighting in remote mountain forests or areas without pipeline networks.
