Product Information

  • Name : Three-coordinate
  • SKU : BLT-54
  • Category : cmms

The full name of a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is a coordinate measuring machine, which is a high-precision three-dimensional dimensional inspection device. Relying on an orthogonal motion system with X, Y, and Z axes, it uses a probe to contact points on the workpiece surface, accurately collecting three-dimensional spatial coordinate data of components. It can perform comprehensive dimensional inspections such as length, width, height, hole positions, geometric tolerances, surface contours, angles, coaxiality, and perpendicularity. CMMs are available in bridge, gantry, and portable articulated arm types, and are widely used for batch quality inspection and reverse engineering in precision machining, mold making, automotive parts, and aerospace components. They are core metrology equipment in the field of industrial precision inspection.

Three-coordinate

Working Principle The equipment body is constructed with three mutually perpendicular coordinate axes—X, Y, and Z—which can move and position with high precision. When the probe contacts the workpiece surface, it triggers a signal, and the system simultaneously records the current position coordinates of the three axes. After collecting multiple feature points, the software uses algorithms to fit and calculate the workpiece's dimensions, positional tolerances, and geometric shape deviations, automatically generating an inspection report. The results are compared with the drawing standards to determine whether the workpiece is qualified. Application Areas 1. Automotive Industry: Full dimensional inspection of engine blocks, transmission housings, and stamped sheet metal parts 2. Mold Manufacturing: Verification of cavity surfaces and assembly dimensions for injection molds and die-casting molds 3. Aerospace: Three-dimensional precision measurement of complex structural parts, impellers, and blades 4. Precision Metalworking: Quality inspection of form and position tolerances for gears, bearings, fixtures, and tooling
