Product Information

  • Name : Multimeter
  • SKU : BLT-55
  • Category : digital-multimeters

A multimeter, also known as a multi-tester or volt-ohm-milliammeter, is the most commonly used portable basic measuring instrument in electrical work, maintenance, and quality inspection scenarios. It is mainly divided into two types: analog pointer type and digital display type. A single meter can integrate multiple detection functions, and with test leads, it can quickly measure circuit voltage, resistance, and current. Most models can also be extended to measure electrical parameters such as diode continuity, transistor parameters, capacitance, frequency, and temperature. Compact and portable with simple operation, it is a fundamental tool for electrical inspection, circuit troubleshooting, and component quality assessment.

Working Principle A digital multimeter relies on voltage divider and shunt circuits combined with an analog-to-digital conversion chip to convert the analog electrical signals collected by the test leads into digital values displayed directly on the screen. An analog multimeter depends on the deflection of the meter coil in an electromagnetic field, and the corresponding physical quantity is read from the deflection scale. By rotating the range selector dial, different measurement circuits are switched to match the corresponding range. After connecting to the test points, data reading is completed. The continuity test mode also includes a buzzer prompt for quickly determining circuit continuity. Application Fields 1. Electrical Repair: Troubleshooting faults and testing circuit continuity in household appliances, circuit boards, and motor equipment. 2. Electrical Installation: Identifying voltage in strong and weak current circuits, distinguishing live and neutral wires, and performing simple leakage checks. 3. Electronics Manufacturing: Checking parameters of soldered circuits, components such as resistors and capacitors, and measuring power supply output. 4. Equipment Maintenance: Routine inspection of industrial control cabinets, sensor power supply voltage, and loop current.
