Dissolved Oxygen Meter

Dissolved Oxygen Meter

Product Information

  • Name : Dissolved Oxygen Meter
  • SKU : BLT-63
  • Category : dissolved-oxygen-meters

The dissolved oxygen meter is a water quality analysis instrument specifically designed to measure the oxygen content dissolved in water. It relies on a matching dissolved oxygen electrode to capture the oxygen concentration in the water and visually displays the DO value. It is available in laboratory benchtop, field portable, and industrial online fixed types, capable of reflecting the oxygen-rich or oxygen-deficient state of water in real time. It can output signals to interface with automated control systems, making it an essential detection device for water environment monitoring, aquaculture, and wastewater treatment processes.

**Working Principle** The oxygen-permeable membrane at the front end of the instrument electrode only allows oxygen in the water to permeate. The internal electrolyte undergoes an oxidation-reduction reaction with the electrode, generating a weak current signal. The main unit amplifies and processes the signal, combined with temperature compensation calculations, to convert it into an accurate dissolved oxygen content value. Online equipment can transmit data to the control system, automatically starting or stopping the aeration fan based on the oxygen content, thereby achieving automated control of water oxygenation. **Application Fields** 1. **Wastewater Treatment**: Real-time monitoring of dissolved oxygen in the aerobic section of biochemical tanks to regulate fan aeration efficiency. 2. **Aquaculture**: Detection of oxygen levels in fish ponds and aquaculture tanks to prevent hypoxia and fish mortality. 3. **River and Lake Environments**: Monitoring of water quality and ecological conditions in surface water, rivers, and lake basins. 4. **Water Treatment Plants**: Testing of dissolved oxygen indicators in source water and process effluent. 5. **Fermentation Processes**: Control of dissolved oxygen levels in pharmaceutical and food fermentation tanks to stabilize fermentation reactions.
