A centrifuge is a commonly used laboratory device that utilizes centrifugal force to separate liquids from solid particles or components of different densities in a mixture. By generating a strong centrifugal force field through high-speed rotation, it causes substances of varying densities in the sample to stratify and settle. It comes in specifications such as benchtop low-speed centrifuges, high-speed refrigerated centrifuges, large-capacity floor-standing centrifuges, and micro-mini centrifuges. It can be equipped with rotors of different specifications to accommodate centrifuge tubes, blood collection tubes, and centrifuge bottles, and is primarily used for pretreatment experiments such as sample purification, supernatant separation, blood cell separation, and precipitate extraction.
