An actuator is a terminal power drive device in an automation control system, often used in conjunction with a control valve. It receives electrical or pneumatic signals from the controller, converts these signals into linear or angular displacement, and precisely drives the valve core to perform opening adjustment and on-off switching actions. This controls the flow rate, pressure, and liquid level of the medium within the pipeline. Actuators are mainly divided into two mainstream types: electric actuators and pneumatic actuators. They are core execution components in an automatic control loop, enabling the implementation of commands and the automatic regulation of process parameters.
