Actuator

Product Information

  • Name : Actuator
  • SKU : BLT-70
  • Category : actuators

An actuator is a terminal power drive device in an automation control system, often used in conjunction with a control valve. It receives electrical or pneumatic signals from the controller, converts these signals into linear or angular displacement, and precisely drives the valve core to perform opening adjustment and on-off switching actions. This controls the flow rate, pressure, and liquid level of the medium within the pipeline. Actuators are mainly divided into two mainstream types: electric actuators and pneumatic actuators. They are core execution components in an automatic control loop, enabling the implementation of commands and the automatic regulation of process parameters.

Working Principle After receiving a standard current or voltage control signal, the electric actuator's internal motor operates, amplifies torque through a reduction mechanism, and drives the output shaft to push the valve stem, generating a corresponding stroke to precisely position the valve's opening and closing degree. The pneumatic actuator relies on compressed air entering the cylinder to drive the piston or diaphragm to produce thrust, and works with a valve positioner to correct stroke deviations, matching the valve opening according to the input pneumatic signal. Both types can receive system commands to adjust the valve status in real time, enabling dynamic regulation and emergency shutoff of pipeline media. Application Fields 1. Chemical Industry: Drives regulating valves in reactor pipelines for precise control of feeding and pressure relief processes. 2. Thermal Heating: Controls the opening and closing of steam pipeline valves and automatic flow regulation. 3. Power Industry: Remote operation of boiler feedwater and flue gas pipeline valves. 4. Water Supply and Drainage: Automated opening, closing, and throttling of pipeline valves in water plant pumping stations. 5. Oil and Gas Transportation: Remote regulation and emergency shutdown of long-distance pipeline valves.
