chain and sprocket
Working Principle
The driving sprocket rotates with the output shaft of the motor/reducer, with its teeth precisely engaging into the gaps between the chain rollers. By relying on the tooth surface meshing, it pulls the entire chain to operate in a closed-loop cycle. The driven sprocket rotates synchronously with the chain, thereby transmitting power over long distances to the equipment at the other end. The hinged structure of the chain allows adaptation to a certain range of axle distances, ensuring no elastic slip in transmission and providing precise and stable transmission ratios. Under heavy-load conditions, multi-strand chains are used to distribute the load, enhancing overall tensile strength.
Application Fields
1. Conveying Equipment: Head and tail transmission of belt conveyors, drive end of screw conveyors, mesh belt conveyors, and traction transmission of scraper conveyors.
2. Bucket Elevators: Head and tail sprockets of chain/plate bucket elevators, used to vertically lift materials in a cyclic manner.
3. Engineering Machinery: Power transmission in small loaders, agricultural equipment, and hoisting winch mechanisms.
4. Assembly Line Equipment: Roller conveyor lines in automated production lines and step-by-step conveying mechanisms in packaging machinery.
