Centrifugal pump

Centrifugal pump

Product Information

  • Name : Centrifugal pump
  • SKU : BLT-87
  • Category : centrifugal-pumps

Centrifugal pumps are the most widely used vane-type fluid transport machinery in industrial water supply and drainage, as well as fluid conveyance. They rely on an electric motor to drive the impeller rotation, generating centrifugal force to transport various liquid media. The complete set of equipment mainly consists of six basic components: the pump casing (volute), impeller, pump shaft, shaft seal, drive motor, and fixed base.

**Working Principle** After power is connected, the motor drives the pump shaft and impeller to rotate at high speed. The pump body is pre-filled with the liquid to be transported, and the impeller blades push the liquid to rotate at high speed in a circular motion. Under centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the outer edge at high speed, with both flow velocity and pressure increasing simultaneously. The volute-shaped pump body collects the high-speed liquid, converts its kinetic energy into static pressure energy, and discharges it through the pump outlet pipeline. As liquid is continuously thrown out from the center of the impeller, a low-pressure negative pressure zone is formed. Under the pressure of external atmospheric pressure, liquid in the inlet pipeline is continuously pressed into the impeller center to replenish the medium. **Application Fields** 1. **Building Domestic Water Supply**: Boosting secondary water supply in high-rise residences, supplying water to tank rooms in residential pump stations, and pressurizing building tap water pipelines to solve the problem of sufficient water pressure on lower floors but insufficient supply on upper floors. 2. **Fire Emergency Water Supply and Drainage**: Used as fire sprinkler pumps and fire hydrant main pumps to continuously provide high-pressure water sources for fire protection pipelines. During a fire, it ensures the outlet pressure of fire hydrants and sprinkler systems, making it essential equipment for building fire protection. 3. **Industrial Production Processes**: Circulating cooling water in power plants and steel mills; transporting corrosive chemicals and raw material liquids in chemical plants; conveying process water and raw material media in electroplating and food industries. 4. **Municipal Environmental Protection and Sewage Treatment**: Lifting urban sewage pipelines, transferring media in sewage treatment plants, draining urban waterlogging during flood seasons, pumping accumulated water from rivers, and suctioning and transferring sewage from septic tanks. 5. **HVAC Central Air Conditioning Systems**: Circulating chilled and hot water in central air conditioning systems, pressurizing water circulation in underfloor heating systems, and ensuring water flow circulation and heat exchange in the entire HVAC system.
