Product Information

  • Name : KGL Steel Gravity Water Purifier | Gravity Integrated Water Treatment Unit | Steel Inclined Tube Sedimentation Purifier
  • SKU : BLT-315
  • Category : integrated-wastewater-treatment-equipment

The KGL Steel Gravity Water Purifier is a gravity-flow integrated treatment unit combining flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration. The main body is steel construction with anti-corrosion treatment, designed for surface water sources including rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. After chemical dosing, mixing, reaction, inclined tube settling, and quartz sand filtration, outlet turbidity is consistently below 3–5 mg/L, meeting drinking water or industrial water standards. The gravity design eliminates the need for pressure pumping, keeping energy consumption low. It suits small and medium water plants, industrial water supply, and rural drinking water projects.

KGL Steel Gravity Water Purifier | Gravity Integrated Water Treatment Unit | Steel Inclined Tube Sedimentation Purifier

Working Principle Raw water is pumped into the upper distribution system of the unit, where coagulant is dosed simultaneously. After rapid mixing, the water enters the flocculation zone, where slow stirring causes fine flocs to agglomerate into larger particles. The flocs flow with the water into the inclined tube settling zone, where the tube media accelerates settling and sludge collects in the bottom hopper. Clarified water flows by gravity into the filtration chamber, passing through a quartz sand bed that intercepts remaining suspended solids. Clean water collects in the bottom clear water tank. When the filter bed clogs or a set cycle is reached, backwash starts. Backwash water flows upward through the quartz sand bed, flushing trapped solids out of the vessel. Gravity filtration resumes once backwash completes. Sludge in the hopper discharges periodically through the sludge valve. An automatic control system is available for automated dosing, backwash, and sludge discharge. Application Fields 1.Rural & Township Water Supply: River, lake, and reservoir water purification — the core unit for small centralized water supply projects 2.Industrial & Mining Water Supply: Process and potable water treatment for factories 3.Boiler & Industrial Water Pretreatment: Pre-treatment for boiler makeup water and circulating water systems 4.Water Reuse: Advanced treatment of wastewater plant effluent for irrigation, washdown, or industrial cooling FAQ Q1: What's the difference between the KGL Steel Gravity Water Purifier and a pressure-type purifier? A: Gravity type relies on water level difference to drive flow — no pressure pumping required, low energy consumption, suited for small to medium scale and sites with elevation drop. Pressure type requires a pump to pressurize, and the outlet can feed directly into a pressurized pipeline or elevated water tank, suited for compact sites requiring pressurized supply. The KGL uses a steel vessel, which offers shorter construction time and can be transported as a whole compared to concrete structures — ideal for remote areas or tight schedules. Q2: What kind of raw water can the KGL Steel Gravity Water Purifier handle? A: It's designed for surface water — rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and ponds — with inlet turbidity typically up to 3,000 mg/L. Outlet turbidity stays consistently below 3–5 mg/L, meeting drinking water standards or industrial water quality requirements. If raw water turbidity consistently exceeds 3,000 mg/L, a pre-settling tank is recommended. Lower-turbidity sources also work, though the flocculation and dosing stage typically isn't needed. Q3: What are the main components of the KGL Steel Gravity Water Purifier? A: Main components include the steel vessel, mixing reaction zone, flocculation zone, inclined tube settling zone, quartz sand filtration chamber, clear water tank, and sludge hopper. The vessel is carbon steel welded, with anti-corrosion treatment on both interior and exterior surfaces. The mixing zone has an agitator, the flocculation zone uses slow stirring, the settling zone is packed with inclined tube media, and the filtration chamber contains quartz sand media. External connections include inlet, outlet, backwash water, and sludge piping with valves, with an optional fully automatic control system.
