Mains Failure Auto Switching | Automatic Transfer Switch Cabinet | Generator Interlock Control Panel

Product Information

When the mains power fails without warning, high-speed precision production lines can face scrap, and core server data can be lost in an instant. Facing such sudden emergencies, a control cabinet with Mains Failure Auto Switching becomes the last barrier to defend the safety baseline. Once the grid fails, it cuts the main power in milliseconds and wakes up the backup generator, quickly connecting the load once the voltage is stable. This entire emergency process requires no manual intervention, holding up a seamless power protection umbrella for critical facilities.

Working Principle

When the controller detects abnormal mains voltage or an outage, it immediately sends a signal to start the backup generator. Through the Mains Failure Auto Switching logic, the system continuously monitors the generator's output voltage and frequency. Once the generator reaches the set parameters, the cabinet's internal mechanical interlock releases, driving the transfer switch from the "Mains" side to the "Generator" side to supply the load. When the mains power returns, the system automatically reverses the process and delays the generator shutdown.

Application Fields

1.Data centers: ensuring uninterrupted power for servers and cooling systems.
2.Hospitals and operating rooms: guaranteeing continuous operation for emergency lighting and life support equipment.
3.Commercial buildings and hotels: maintaining normal operation of elevators, security, and fire systems.
4.Industrial production lines: preventing equipment damage and production halts caused by grid fluctuations or outages.

FAQ

Q1: Does your equipment support remote monitoring?
A: Yes. We offer an optional smart controller with RS485 or Ethernet communication modules, which can be integrated into building automation systems or cloud platforms for remote viewing of voltage, current data, and fault alarms.

Q2: What brand of circuit breakers are used inside the cabinet?
A: We typically equip domestic first-tier brands like Chint or Delixi as standard. If requested, we can also customize the installation and wiring to be compatible with international brands like Schneider, ABB, and Siemens.

Q3: Can the mechanical interlock be operated during a power outage?
A: Yes. The cabinet panel is usually equipped with a manual operating handle. During emergency outages or maintenance, operators can manually force the switch to ensure the reliability of power distribution.
