Mechanical Filter | Stainless Steel Mechanical Filter Vessel
Working Principle
Raw water flows into the filter tank under pressure and passes through the filter media bed. Sediment, suspended particles and colloidal contaminants are trapped within the media layer. Treated clear water is collected at the bottom and discharged through the outlet. As filtration proceeds, trapped impurities build up and cause a pressure differential across the filter. Once the preset pressure difference is reached, water intake stops. Backwash water is pumped in to flush out accumulated dirt from the media. After regeneration, the filter is ready for another filtration cycle. The multi-layer media bed enables high-capacity bulk filtration and effectively removes suspended solids to reduce raw water turbidity.
Application Fields
Power industry: Pre-treatment for boiler feed water to remove suspended solids and protect downstream RO and ion exchange systems.
Petrochemical industry: Purification of process water and circulating water to remove solid particles.
Metallurgy & electroplating: Pre-treatment of process water and electroplating wastewater to cut water turbidity.
Paper & textile industry: Raw water purification to eliminate sediment and suspended matter. Pharmaceutical dialysis & food beverage: Production water pre-treatment to guarantee stable inlet water quality.
Municipal & residential: Turbidity removal for drinking water, swimming pool water, surface water and groundwater.
