Multi-Generator Load Sharing | Industrial Synchronization Panel | Automatic Paralleling Control System

Product Information

Industrial synchronization panels manage the parallel operation of multiple generators. Using a built-in Multi-Generator Load Sharing algorithm, they coordinate automatic synchronization and power distribution. By monitoring real-time loads, the system adjusts each unit's output to ensure even sharing, boosting system stability while keeping engines running at optimal fuel efficiency to reduce long-term operating costs.

Multi-Generator Load Sharing | Industrial Synchronization Panel | Automatic Paralleling Control System

Working Principle

When the system receives a start command, the controller gathers real-time voltage, frequency, and phase signals from the busbar and the incoming generators. Once synchronization conditions are met, it sends a precise closing command to complete automatic paralleling. During operation, the built-in Multi-Generator Load Sharing algorithm dynamically monitors total load changes. If the load fluctuates, the system instantly adjusts the electronic governors (throttle) and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR) of each unit to increase or decrease their output power, ensuring all paralleled units equally share the load and preventing single-unit overloads or reverse power conditions.

Application Fields

1.Marine & offshore engineering: paralleling multiple marine generators for navigation and operation power.
2.Oil drilling platforms: coordinating high-power diesel units to handle sudden rig load changes.
3.Large computing centers: synchronizing multiple high-power generators to ensure uninterrupted computing.
4.Landfill & biogas power: paralleling multiple biogas generator sets for unified grid supply.

FAQ

Q1: Can your control panel work with generators of different brands or power ratings?
A: Yes. By using standardized communication protocols (like Modbus or CAN bus), the system can read and regulate the ECUs of different engine brands. However, to ensure the accuracy of Multi-Generator Load Sharing and system stability, we recommend that the power ratio of paralleled units doesn't exceed 3:1.

Q2: If one unit suddenly fails and shuts down, will it cause a total power outage?
A: No. The system features real-time fault monitoring and protection. Upon detecting a unit failure, it instantly triggers reverse power protection to trip the faulty unit off the busbar and shut it down. Simultaneously, it automatically ramps up the output of the remaining healthy units to fill the gap, ensuring continuous power to the load.

Q3: How long does the automatic synchronization and closing take?
A: It depends on the generator's start and voltage buildup speed. Once the generator starts and establishes stable voltage, the controller's sync module can typically capture the perfect phase difference and execute the closing within a few to a dozen seconds, achieving a smooth, nearly shock-free paralleling.
