Plate and frame filter press is a practical solid-liquid separation unit for sludge dewatering and suspension filtration. It suits suspensions with highly-compressible or nearly incompressible filter residues, operating at 0.3-1.6 MPa (up to 3 MPa for special cases), with filtration area from 1 ㎡ to 1200 ㎡. Plates and frames can be clamped manually, electrically or hydraulically and supplied in multiple material options for chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgy and wastewater-treatment applications.

Working Principle
Slurry is pumped into filter chambers assembled by filter plates and frames. Filtrate passes through filter cloth and discharges out, while solid particles are trapped and build into filter cakes inside frames. After filtration, the clamping mechanism is released. Plates and frames are separated so filter cakes fall off for discharge. One complete filtration cycle is finished.
