QL High-efficiency Fiber Ball Filter|Modified fiber ball filter|Steel Round Tank Filter
Working Principle
The QL high-efficiency fiber ball filter relies on pressure to push water flow into the tank. Water passes through the fiber ball filter media layer from top to bottom. Fiber balls are flexible filter media. When under pressure, their pores gradually decrease from top to bottom to form a gradient filter layer, which intercepts suspended impurities in water step by step. The filtered clean water is collected and discharged through the pipeline at the bottom.
As filtration proceeds continuously, contaminants accumulate inside the filter layer and the differential pressure of the equipment rises. At this point, air-water combined backwashing is activated. Compressed air agitates the fiber balls. Together with flushing water flow, it strips suspended solids attached to fiber balls, which are then discharged with waste water. After backwashing is completed, the filter media resets, and the equipment restarts the filtration cycle for continuous operatio
Application Fields
1. Wastewater treatment for various industries: advanced filtration of wastewater after biological treatment
2. Wastewater reuse: recycling and reuse of treated wastewater
3. Advanced pretreatment of wastewater: purification before wastewater enters subsequent processes
4. Industrial water supply: purification of plant production water
5. Swimming pool water treatment: swimming pool circulating water treatment
FAQ
Q1: What kind of raw water can the QL high-efficiency fiber ball filter treat?
A: It is applicable to wastewater after biological treatment from various industries. When the influent SS is no more than 80 mg/L, the effluent SS can be stably less than 5 mg/L. It can be used in scenarios such as wastewater reuse, industrial water supply and swimming pool circulating water treatment. If the influent suspended solids exceed the standard for a long time, it is recommended to equip pre-treatment facilities.
Q2: What are the main components of the QL high-efficiency fiber ball filter?
A: The main body of the equipment is a steel circular tank filled with fiber ball filter media. It is equipped with water distribution and water collection components. Inlet pipes, outlet pipes, backwash pipes, valves and pressure gauges are installed externally. An automatic control system can be added to complete the filtration and backwashing processes.
Q3: How often does the equipment need backwashing? How long does backwashing take?
A: The working cycle of the equipment ranges from 8 to 48 hours. Backwashing can be triggered according to differential pressure or preset time. A single backwashing lasts 20–30 minutes, and the water consumption for backwashing accounts for 1%–3% of the water production in one cycle.
