QXP Series – Low Flow High Head Tangent Flow Pump for Abrasive Media
Working Principle
This single-stage, single-suction partial flow pump draws liquid in through the axial inlet, and the high-speed impeller imparts energy before discharging radially. The tangent flow design directs liquid in a tangential, high-velocity path through the pump casing, creating a partial flow condition that achieves high head at low flow rates. This unique hydraulic design minimizes impact and wear from solid particles on wetted components while maintaining stable operation within the high-efficiency zone. The shaft seal can be configured with either packing or mechanical seals depending on the specific media requirements.
Applications
Chemical Industry: Suitable for transferring chemical slurries, suspensions, and crystallizing media containing small amounts of solid particles. Used in small reactor feed, sampling circulation, and other low-flow, high-pressure applications.
Petroleum Industry: Ideal for oilfield water injection, chemical agent injection, and additive metering transfer where low flow and high head are required.
Food and Light Industry: Handles juices, beverages, syrups, and other products with fine particulates; stainless steel construction is available for sanitary requirements.
Power Generation: Used in boiler feedwater, high-pressure spray humidification, and small cooling circulation systems requiring high pressure.
General Industrial: Applicable for high-pressure cleaning equipment, small booster systems, and pilot plant/laboratory equipment for low-flow, high-pressure liquid transfer.
