YLYB Zero Leak Magnetic Drive Liquid Chlorine Submerged Pump for Indian Chlor-Alkali Industry
Working Principle
The motor transmits torque via magnetic coupling to rotate the internal impeller, moving liquid chlorine through centrifugal force. With no dynamic shaft seal, the pump removes the primary risk of toxic media escape at source. Its Hastelloy containment shell is specially formed with no axial welds for robust sealing and chemical stability. A double-containment shell arrangement provides redundant protection: it triggers an alarm if the primary shell suffers damage, while still fully containing liquid chlorine to prevent release. Integrated automatic hydraulic balancing minimises axial thrust on the silicon carbide slide bearings, limiting load only during start-up and shut-down phases, to extend service life under continuous liquid-chlorine operation.
Applications
Chlor-Alkali Plants: Liquid chlorine transfer, tanker loading & unloading, chlorine liquefaction circuits
Fine Chemicals: Closed transfer of corrosive chlorine-bearing hazardous intermediates
Pharma & Agrochemicals: Feeding chlorine-based raw materials for pesticide and pharmaceutical synthesis
Chemical Storage Terminals: Tank outlet transfer and tank-car loading/unloading for liquid chlorine
Flue-Gas Treatment: Metered supply of chlorine-laden hazardous chemistries for emission control
